Busy Days

Hello everyone! I have just seen that I have not been here for weeks. Busy life!
I am updating you why I have not been here. We went to the Netherlands to visit my relatives. My Dutch nephew had his 19th birthday and it was time to bond with relatives and their Dutch families again. It was fun although it was just a weekend visit with an overnight sleep.
In between my routine life, I baked for a holy communion cake as well as my husband birthday cake. He had his birthday yesterday.
On Mother’s Day, we had a picnic at the lake with my Filipina friends here in Germany and their respective families. It was a fun day. We enjoyed the beautiful sunset at the lake as well.
In between those celebrations, my hubby had his navel hernia operation in the hospital nearby. He is fine now and I am thankful for that.

You did a lovely job decorating the cake, I have never seen such a pretty shade of purple for frosting.
You have been quite busy as of late.
I love that you all gathered for a picnic for Mother's Day, it sounds so nice.
We spent the day at our son's place, they were finishing up building a deck and then we had a really nice barbequed supper. It was alot of fun.

Yes, indeed. My hubby was on and of in the hospital.
It was really nice. At first we celebrated my nephews’ birthday in the Netherlands on the 11th of May. When we went home to Germany the next day, we went to the picnic at the lake with my friends and families until the sun set. It was fun.

How wonderful you got to visit relatives in the Netherlands, That is a beautiful cake, I hope you husband had a very happy birthday, Sounds nice to have a picnic on Mother's Day. My time is spent keeping busy and productive at the PC, I hope you have a good rest of this week,

Yes, it was wonderful @RasmaSandra. Yes, it was a happy celebration for us as family. The picnic was nice on Mother’s Day. We will be having a picnic again on the 8th of June as it will be the Philippines Independence Day celebration in the Netherlands. The Filipino community will be celebrating the event in the park with lots of Filipino food for sale and a live band. I am already looking forward to this event.
