You Tube Does It For Me Once Again

I think I may have said this before but, I have been enjoying some YouTube. I have watched many oldies in my day. But, I am finding that there are many I haven't seen. Now I do tend to poo poo any made before 1935 and, any made during the 60s are not much in my opinion. Past that they aren't 'oldies' any longer. Now Harvey was made in 1950. Gone With The Wind was made in 1939. Rebecca was done in 1940. Citizen Cane in 1941, Casablanca came out in 1942. You see the theme here, right? But, alongside all these greats there are many not-so-well-known ones which I am enjoying now. Right now I am watching The Shadow of the Thin Man from 1934. The 4th of six. The Thin Man, After The Thin Man, Another Thin Man, Shadow of the Thin Man, The Thin Man Goes Home(my favorite), and, Song of the Thin Man. They were sure inventive in naming these movies, weren't they? Haha Do you like William Powell? He is a favorite of mine. Any oldies you like? Picture is from alchetron.com

Hubby and I have quite enjoyed the Ma and Pa Kettle movies, cheesy yes, but oh so funny. We’ve also really enjoyed The African Queen and a few that the name temporarily escapes me.

There aren't many oldies that I like. There are a few comedies from that era that I like; but I can't recall the names now. Have a Happy Easter.

I don't think I've ever watched any Thin Man movies but I must have at some point because I certainly know of Nick and Nora Charles and their dog Asta. Asta's always showing up in crossword puzzles.

There are very few good movies made before 1934 and most made in the 60s were silly movies. I like a lot the crime movies of the 40s.

@celticeagle The Blue Dahlia 1946, there are so many made in the 40s. The Maltese Falcon, Double Indemnity, Rope, Key Largo, Scarlet Street, The Woman in the Window. Those are titles that come to my mind because we have watched them during the past weeks.

@celticeagle enjoy. I've been watching a bbc detective series that was popular for ten plus seasons. Several of the original characters left but it's still been good. It's on Tubi and maybe other apps too and called New Tricks, if your into that sort of thing. I like to hear them talk.

Yes, me too. I've been trying to watch his earlier ones. Do you always find him in the movie? He has this thing about having to be in each movie some where.

Some of the oldies are classic and timeless. I can watch them again and again if I get a chance. When husband and I don't have much time or any choice to watch, we would watch some funny scenes from those old movies available on YouTube.
