Day 99 – Consecrated Leviticus 8:1 JEHOVAH spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, the anointing oil, a bull as the sin offering, two rams, and a basket of unleavened bread; 3 and gather the congregation together at the door of the tabernacle of meeting.” 4 Moses did as JEHOVAH commanded him. The congregation gathered at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. 5 Moses said to the congregation, “This is what JEHOVAH commanded to do.” 6 Then Moses brought Aaron and his sons and washed them with water. 7 He put the tunic on him, girded him with the sash, clothed him with the robe, and put the ephod on him; and he girded him with the intricately woven band of the ephod, and with it tied the ephod on him. 8 Then he put the breastplate on him, and he put the Urim and the Thummim in the breastplate. 9 He put the turban on his head. Also on the turban, he put the golden plate on its front, the holy crown, as JEHOVAH commanded Moses. 10 Also Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and everything in it, and consecrated them. 11 He sprinkled some of it on the altar seven times, anointed the altar and its utensils, and the laver and its base, to consecrate them. 12 He poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron’s head and anointed him, to consecrate him. 13 Then Moses brought Aaron’s sons and put tunics on them, girded them with sashes, and put hats on them, as JEHOVAH commanded Moses. 14 He brought the bull for the sin offering. Then Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the bull for the sin offering, 15 and Moses killed it. Then he took the blood and put some on the horns of the altar all around with his finger and purified the altar. He poured the blood at the base of the altar, and consecrated it, to make atonement for it. 16 Then he took the fat on the entrails, the fatty lobe attached to the liver, and the two kidneys with their fat, and Moses burned them on the altar. 17 But the bull, its hide, its flesh, and its offal, he burned with fire outside the camp, as JEHOVAH commanded Moses. 18 Then he brought the ram as the burnt offering. Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram, 19 and Moses killed it. Then he sprinkled blood around on the altar. 20 He cut the ram into pieces; and Moses burned the head, the pieces, and the fat. 21 Then he washed the entrails and the legs in water. Moses burned the whole ram on the altar. It was a burnt sacrifice for a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire to JEHOVAH, as JEHOVAH commanded Moses. 22 He brought the second ram, the ram of consecration. Then Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram, 23 and Moses killed it. Also, he took some of its blood and put it on the tip of Aaron’s right ear, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot. 24 Then he brought Aaron’s sons. Moses put some of the blood on the tips of their right ears, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet. Moses sprinkled blood around on the altar. 25 Then he took the fat and the fat tail, the fat on the entrails, the fatty lobe attached to the liver, the two kidneys and their fat, and the right thigh; 26 and from the basket of unleavened bread before JEHOVAH he took one unleavened cake, a cake of bread anointed with oil, and one wafer, and put them on the fat and on the right thigh; 27 and he put all these in Aaron’s hands and in his sons’ hands, and waved them as a wave offering before JEHOVAH. 28 Then Moses took them from their hands and burned them on the altar, on the burnt offering. They were consecration offerings for a sweet aroma. That was an offering made by fire to JEHOVAH. 29 Moses took the breast and waved it as a wave offering before JEHOVAH. It was Moses’ part of the ram of consecration, as JEHOVAH commanded Moses. 30 Then Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood, which was on the altar, and sprinkled it on Aaron, on his garments, on his sons, and on the garments of his sons with him; and he consecrated Aaron, his garments, his sons, and the garments of his sons with him. 31 Moses said to Aaron and his sons, “Boil the flesh at the door of the tabernacle of meeting and eat it there with the bread in the basket of consecration offerings, as I commanded, saying, ‘Aaron and his sons will eat it.’ 32 What remains of the flesh and of the bread you will burn with fire. 33 You will not go outside the door of the tabernacle of meeting for seven days, until the days of your consecration ends. For seven days He will consecrate you. 34 As He has done this day, so JEHOVAH has commanded to do, to make atonement for you. 35 Therefore, you will stay at the door of the tabernacle of meeting day and night for seven days, and keep the charge of JEHOVAH, so you may not die; for so I have been commanded.” 36 Aaron and his sons did everything JEHOVAH had commanded by the hand of Moses. God’s name: JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal Yeshuwa – Jesus Iesous – Jesus – Greek Christos – Anointed One Pater – Father Huios – Son Hagios Pneuma – Holy Spirit God’s character: Ordinator When men and women graduate from seminary, they receive their new posts, the churches where they will minister. Before they can preach, the congregation ordains them for the ministry. It can be a simple ceremony or an elaborate one with lunch to follow the service. Moses ordained Aaron and his sons as JEHOVAH instructed. He not only ordained them, but he also ordained everything in the tabernacle for use in the daily activities of the tabernacle. Then he sacrificed the ram for the sin offering after which he sacrificed the second ram of consecration before JEHOVAH and told Aaron and his sons, they were to boil the flesh and eat it. Then Moses told them they were not to leave the tabernacle for seven days and nights until the days of their consecration ended. When you accepted Yeshuwa as your Savior and Lord, He anointed you for His work. He did that by commissioning you to go into the world. Matthew 28:18 And Iesous came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. You might not have gone through an elaborate ceremony as Aaron and his sons did when Moses consecrated them for the work of the tabernacle, but JEHOVAH anointed you for His work by putting His Holy Spirit in you to teach and guide you in the work He called you to do. You might tell yourself; He didn’t call you. You’re not doing anything for JEHOVAH. Yes, you are. Wherever you go, whatever you do, your life is a witness of what JEHOVAH did to you. When you display the fruit of the Spirit, you show JEHOVAH’S love for them. Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. (NKJV) When you sprinkle your life with the fruit of the Spirit, you shower everyone you encounter with JEHOVAH’S love. JEHOVAH consecrated you for His work. Do it with all your might and He will bless your hands, feet, and ears, as Moses anointed Aaron and his sons for the work of the tabernacle. He might call you to preach the Word in your local pulpit or send you to the nations. He might call you to administrative duties or put you in a work situation where your witness will change lives. Wherever JEHOVAH calls you, go in the power of the Father (Pater), Son Huios), and Holy Spirit (Hagios Pneuma) to do His will and change the world for Iesous Christos. Are you ready to change the world? Let’s pray: Father, anoint me to do Your will. Show me what You want me to do for You. Guide me and teach me so I will be effective for You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 26 April 2024 by Valerie Routhieaux The image belongs to me.

Thank you for sharing this. I am not fond of reading much the Old Testament but I love the New Testament. I can say that I am also not religious and I am guilty of not giving enough time to study the Bible. I love these lines from you "Wherever JEHOVAH calls you, go in the power of the Father (Pater), Son Huios), and Holy Spirit (Hagios Pneuma) to do His will and change the world for Iesous Christos." I know I do not have the ability to change the world, but what I can do is to start the change within me. Honestly, sometimes I find myself always complaining about my situations. But then, I realized I should stop from it instead should be thankful and do my best to be strong in fighting the adversaries that come along the way.

I'm glad this blessed you. You're welcome. The Old Testament points to the New Testament. It's important to know how it all fits together and what your role is in the life you've been given. I hope you will read and study Scripture so you will know where you fit in God's plan for your life. Have a blessed day.
