Hi all, I'm from Australia & my name is Daniel. I am diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. I am a shy, quiet, introverted kind of guy. I'm just posting to hopefully make a new friend or two and interact with other like minded people. I'm feeling really lost at the moment and kind of struggling with life right now.

Hi Daniel! It is nice to meet you. It takes courage to reach out, and I am glad you are looking to connect with others. You are not alone in feeling lost or struggling, and it is okay to feel that way. Opening up and seeking support is a positive step. Is there anything specific you'd like to chat about or share?

I'm feeling quite vulnerable at the moment. Scared and alone. I go through these cycles of depression.

@Danie75 I am sorry to hear that you're feeling this way. Depression can be incredibly challenging, and it is important to reach out for support when you're going through these tough times. You're not alone, and there are people who care about you and want to help. Have you considered talking to a mental health professional or a trusted friend or a family member about what you are experiencing?

@annierose I just find it's best to ride out the storm and deal with it on my own. I always end up coming good in the end. It just takes time. I have a lot of soul searching to do. I feel very lost and lacking purpose at this stage of my life. But thanks for the helpful advice.

Hello, welcome to mylot. My 18 year old daughter has schizoaffective disorder. I know from her it can be a struggle sometimes but we are here to lend a listening ear if you need to vent. A hobby you really like can sometimes help also.

Hello Daniel! Welcome to Mylot!

Lots of people are quiet and shy. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being introverted. Sometimes it can even be a big plus. The label introvert can sometimes unjustly have a poor reputation. Not true. I had a friend at one time who had to deal with that diagnosed condition. We had some really good conversations but I noticed if I didn't say hello first he would never say hi to me. At first I thought he didn't value my friendship or maybe want anything to do with me but that wasn't it at all, I guess?
