Today is Holocaust and Remembrance Day here in Israel.

This year everything will not be the same because we are at war. I know there are those here that have been following the war and hope it will be over soon.
That cannot be the answer. We have to fight to the end and that is not because we are a stubborn people. It is so we can have peace and quiet in our country, which is the only Jewish one in the world. The Holocaust is something we think about because we have our own country. I am sorry that there are those that do not understand what the Holocaust represented to us and because of it what it took from families. There are those that lost not only their families but their country as well so after the war there are those that came to Israel and other places as well. So, I am watching the Opening Ceremony that began last night and will end tonight and next week is our Remembrance Day for our Fallen soldiers and terror victims.

I can't even imagine what it must have been like for the Jewish people who were murdered and their families. You and your country will always be in my prayers.

Holocaust was a shame. One of the worst things that happened in the humanity.
We all wish for this war to end soon..but yes, it has to have a logical end. A logical end would ensure a long lasting peace in the region.

@Hannihar Yes, it has to have a long lasting solution. Glad that Hitler didn't succeed. It was cruel and left an impact on generations to come.

@Hannihar It's good to remember. Those who suffered need to be remembered. Such things give us strength and hope to survive and come out victorious despite such happenings.
