How Has Your Life Changed Since the Pandemic?

I have read many of your memories and experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic and I wonder just how our lives have changed since the Pandemic of 2019. It actually started in December 2019 and experts from Harvard Health say "We can't call it fully over yet." That is as of 2022. But graphs show November 2023 as no new cases or deaths being shown. It seems that as of March 2024 SARS-CoV-2 is still killing thousands around the world. So, all that being said I wonder how our lives have changed. Did you catch it? My kids and I luckily did not. Did your life change since the worst of the pandemic? Ours did a little bit. We started having our groceries delivered instead of my daughter going and lugging them home on foot. We wore masks the few times we went out. We had our bouts with 'flus' and colds and wondered if they were COVID or just flu. The three of us don't go out much and so I think that was a good thing during the worst of it. I got the shot in August of 2021. My daughter got hers sometime around that time but my grandson wouldn't. I think that my life has changed dramatically intellectually. This pandemic taught even the experts a few things. I have learned that there are many instances where new pandemics may be coming in the future and it is smart to learn all that we can.

Our life did not change a lot since the pandemic. We had a lockdown that lasted two months and "seniors" were not even allowed inside the stores. That was something we really disliked, but we had volunteers coming to our door to do our grocery shopping. We stayed healthy.

That's good that volunteers helped you. We were on a longer lock down here as I recall.

@celticeagle We were in a longer lockdown, but after those two months we were allowed to go shopping in the morning from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

I didn't get covid but I did get the first and second vaccines which may or may not have exacerbated my health problems. I used to walk everywhere, and for miles, but now I have trouble walking, even started using my mother's old walker. And of course, the cost of buying has gone way up.

I didn't get it either. All three of us lucked out there. I am sorry your walking ability has diminished. That sucks. I used to enjoy riding my mountain bike and can't anymore. I don't find that the prices of things we usually buy have gone up that much.
