What's Going On Today?

It is May 6th and yesterday was one heck of a night.
Smithville had at least two tornados confirmed touchdown. A lot of house damage but thankfully no lives lost. Extrication was called out just in case people needed help out of their house and I ran a medical call on the way home.
We were extremely lucky.
We had a small thunderstorm after the major storm calmed down.
Everyone I know, all friends and family was ok. I made phone calls like crazy every chance I got.
I think this is the second time we've been through something like this and we've been lucky both times.
As for today, I'll be checking on everyone again and waiting to see if we get called out again. My husband went to work and I'm working here at home.
There are a lot of orders to complete today and I'm hoping for more. We have a mother's day bundle and two graduation sets that I'm promoting.
It'll be an interesting day that's for sure.

Very thankful to hear that everyone in your community was safe, even with the destruction. A lot of people love spring, but I hate this time of year because this is when all the bad tornado outbreaks occur. Hopefully, you won't have too many more days like that.

@JordanLader We got hit hard by a line of thunderstorms this morning. Set off all kinds of warnings on our phones. When I looked at the radar, I was expecting a lot of red and yellow colors for the rain (hard rain). It was worse...it was purple on the radar, which is the heaviest and most severe of the storms!

Thank God every 1 is safe & alive, I hate bad severe weather like that
I lived in Fla for like 20 yrs & MAN I hated hurricane season every year.
My heart rate goes banana's when bad weather comes our way & we
live in Indiana right between states that GET bad weather all the time.
But so far KNOCK on wood (knock-knock) we've been blessed where
we live in a gully where most bad weather goes around or over us.

Where I live is about the same but around me gets hit pretty bad. It's weird, I'm very calm when the bad weather gets here. I get nervous when I hear it coming but when it hits I'm calm. Must be the first responder in me lol.
