Shall I reuse or burn them

I started discarding and rearranging my items from my cupboard, I found out many clothes are not wearable anymore and few items that were bought or given by others occupying the space. Will it be a good idea to make carpet out of old clothes as no one is interested in reusing them or Shall I burn them? Still don't know what to do. Secondly, I am deeply into thinking that “can a particular person be unlucky or lucky for another person/ him/herself. So what happened was that one of my previous colleagues told me that many people consider her unlucky because whenever she goes along with them unfavorable events occur resulting in to delaying or canceling the programs. After analyzing her narration it makes me think what if those delays or canceled programs were for good reason and nothing to do with her. Do they have the right to blame a particular person as an unlucky when a favorable or unfavorable event occurs. I personally do not know how to advise her. What I could say is only listen and not to take it seriously. Had it been me, I would perhaps start excluding myself from the certain group of people and start focusing on myself rather then why I am unlucky for them. Sometimes I feel we human being are strange !
