Would you Eat a White Hot?

I lived in Rochester, NY for many years.
We had some specialty food items. It is famous for white hots. They are hot dogs made of pork, beef, and veal. They are not smoked so they retain their white coloring. They are not available everywhere in the country, so people buy packages for their friends or relatives in other places.
Another Rochester specialty is the garbage plate. It started at Nick Tahou's restaurant. It is a plate with macaroni and potato salad, beans, two hotdogs, two hamburgers, or one of each. Other restaurants offer a garbage plate under a different name such as a jumble plate but there is only one garbage plate..
What specialty foods do you have in your area? I would love to hear about them. Have you ever eaten a white-hot?

I’ve never had a white hot, but when I lived in Germany we ate white sausages that had pork, beef and veal in them. They were delicious.

Until now, I haven't heard of it. So, I likely haven't. I am sure we have a few down here, but then again I tend to stick to dull boring foods I know.

@akalinus pecans are big in Georgia
Also, have you heard of the Vidalia Onion? It is grown in Vidalia Georgia. Vidalia is in the Southern part of the State. The onion is special because it has a rather sweeter taste than regular onions.

I don't eat veal; so I wouldn't eat a white hot. The west side of Cleveland is a very Polish area; and they have Pierogis. Have a good day.
