Can lightning strike anything?

It seems like my router resets itself as a result of lightning hitting the electricity, so I repeatedly have to reset my device so it can connect to the internet. That's why I always check the situation, because very high electromagnetic waves can damage electronic equipment.

It probably can strike anything but is more attracted to some things than others. Anything tall seems prone to a lightning strike.

@May2k8 Yes;your devices may get damaged if you are online in such a weather.

@Shivram59 Mine isn't fine, sometimes it can be used all day and most of time it can't read the firmware on router, maybe I'll fix it later when other things are sorted out.
