Sandwich

We think of a sandwich as 2 slices of any type of bread with any type of filling in the middle.
There was a man with a business with tacos and burritos who went to court to have his taco and burritos declared a sandwich.
He won in court and now tacos and burritos are considered a sandwich. Since they have fillings in the middle to.
So most anything now could be considered a sandwich if it has fillings in the middle.

I do agree with the court considering taco as a sandwich. I think how bread and a taco shell is made is almost similar. Moreover, both have the same concept. Filling are being placed by hand by those who are going to eat it.

Seems you "wrapped" up the meaning of "sandwich" nicely. The "wrap" another type of sandwich will be pleased, lol.

Years ago we would get "pancake sandwiches" Which were a short stack with bacon in one layer and a cooked egg on top.

My sandwich has peanut butter in the end. Only thing that fills me up besides hamburgers,

There was a show on Food Network (maybe still is) called the Sandwich King. He made that argument on one episode too.

I have to agree as long as something has a filling it is a sandwich unless it is a jelly donut

I guess tacos and burritos fit the category of sandwich. Not something I ever gave much thought to though

He must have had lots of time! Or maybe a taco and burritos business. I´m now about to go and make a tuna salad to make me a tuna sandwich on black bread. I have used the word sandwich (and my being the sandwich filling) when someone tries to have me in the middle of a discussion of which I´m no part.

A taco and burrito just don’t seem like a sandwich to me.

I wouldn't consider them sandwiches, even if they're sandwich-adjacent.
