I think we might be in danger

I stopped posting here because I feel extremely anxious at home. My father has an awful behavior. Tonight he stopped the heating central system. The gas bill is costly and he wants to pay less. I was sad and I was thinking of paying him an amount because I needed warm water. After a while, he wanted to have a shower. He forgot that he stopped the heating central system and he got extremely angry. He started to curse, swear, and slam all the doors. The poor cat was terrified, hidden in a corner. I had a severe panic attack. He slammed all the doors with all his strength, cursing and swearing without real reason.
I was afraid that he would do me something and I locked myself with a key, but I still felt very unsafe. I almost called my mom who was at work because of my severe panic attack. He slams the doors at 1.30 AM. He curses when he is alone, I think he broke something because I heard a strong noise. Are these signs of mental health problems? Now it's 2 AM and I can't calm myself even with medication. I am still trembling. A few nights ago I heard him cursing me or maybe he was cursing in sleep. I went into a small room near his room to take something and he started to curse and say blasphemous words. And with strangers he makes jokes, and he has normal behavior. He never did this until now. He was violent in the past and almost hit me. He hit my mom in 2017. I am afraid of him. I will need to find a solution because my mom doesn't want a divorce. But she might be in danger too.

Sounds like he needs mental help from professionals, If your mom does not want to do anything about this the you have a big problem, He should be institutionalized.

If I were you I would just move out! I don't think it is a mental health issue, I am thing he was just stupid for turning of the heater to the hot water and he realized how stupid he was and he is mad. He probably doesn't want to admit he did something dumb!
Good luck!

I am sorry to say this is so dangerous Diana.
Do any of the neighbors hear him?

Am sorry to hear that. Hope he gets calmer and does not repet this behaviour again. Hopefully, you and your mom could move out to a better place without him.
