Are you a couch potato?

May 4, 2024 5:33am CST
We all spend time on Netflix and enjoy some lazy weekends but experts say these things can make you age quickly when you over do it. This means being a couch potato will lead to lack of physical activities, which leads to loss of muscle tone, weight gain and other things.

A couch potato not because of TV shows but mostly because I work home based in front of the computer for hours. But I still try to get up every 30 minutes - 1 hr or so as sitting for prolonged periods is bad. We are made to move, our body is made for movement so I always remember that and give myself a break from sitting and staring at the computer screen.

Do you work for a company which is available worldwide? I am trying so hard to find a job from home and I can't find anything.

You do the right thing by standing up after every 30-60 minutes. We just have to keep moving.

@dya80dya No, I'm not employed by a company. I'm a freelance worker, doing various online tasks. And yeah, it can really be challenging to find remote work.

Walking every day is very important to keep healthy. Sitting all the day long is very bad and staring at a screen for hours damages your eyes.

That's true. I had to reduce my computer screen brightness.
