Senior moment #8,201

I just walked into my kitchen, scratched me head, and wondered why I was there. My coffee water was already heating up, breakfast was done, and my egg and bacon burner had been turned off.
I ate some peanuts and returned to my desk. There I saw my kitty, sunning herself outside. Then I remembered why I had gone into the kitchen.
After chatting briefly (online) with @Just4Him and @LindaOH, I had decided to water my new seeds and my tomato plant. But Kitty was sunning right where I'd have to walk to get my "watering can" (actually a giant Coke glass from Dollar Tree).
I had decided it would be better to walk over Her Highness once, rather than twice. So I had gone to the kitchen to get a large glass to fill with water.
I then returned to the kitchen, found a suitable glass, and filled it up with water. I stepped over Kitty (she looked up but did not move), watered my "babies," and then returned the glass to the kitchen.
Do you think cats contribute to Senioritis by drawing all of our attention toward them, making it difficult to think about anything else? I am going to see what Alex Jones thinks.
But most importantly, have you ever walked into a room and forgotten why you went there?

Cats do not contribute to seniority, but it happens to me to walk into a room and to forget why I went there.
Does it happen to you to open the browser to search for something and, the time the browser is ready, you forgot what you wanted to search?

Ms Horse used to say "Are you senile? Or just stupid?" I was in my 30s then. It's OK. When she couldn't identify a plant, I'd say, "I'm going to have to find a REAL biologist." Yes, we gave each other a hard time. But it was all in fun.

I happens to me but I refuse the titile of your subject. I have seen my grandchildren stand in the open front door of MY fridge as if they were in front of the Mona Lisa at the Louvre. I close the door and ask them what did they want. Usually they think that it is the fridge who will give them ideas. I confess that the "senior moment" can happen to me anywhere. The closet in my bedroom is a good place to look for something mysterious. Did I come for something to wear? Or did I think that this was the fridge?

More then I'd care to admit. It's part of being human I suppose.

@TheHorse Shoot, I don't have to have the problem of forgetting someone famous, I do well to remember people I see every day. Or the name of the dentist I bit when I was an adult. I bit him really good, and then kicked him where men don't like to get kicked. But you don't telll me that I'm old, fat, ugly and stupid when I'm your patient. You also don't tell me that I'm going to die soon and will be an old maid when I go, not having any boyfriends. Biting him felt SOOOOOO good!!!

It happens too often, but makes you feel dumb too. And we don't have a cat to blame.

Time and time again I've walked into a room and forgotten why I'm there. I've also walked around looking for my thongs (flip flops to you) and found them on my feet.

Now that I have trouble getting around, my trips are very focused; and I try to do multiple things in one venture. So I don't forget why I went into a room anymore. I'm glad you watered your babies. I hope all your plants flourish. Have a good day.

Been there done that about going somewhere and forgetting why I went there, EXCEPT for going to the bathroom. Although the cats follow me in to check if I remembered "why" I went there.
I will say that my pair do contribute to senior problems. I'm going to post a discussion about it shortly...IF I REMEMBER TO!!!
