The kittens won't stay in the box

They are over one month old. They don't like spending time in the box. I tried to enjoy their presence as much as I could. I am thinking of buying some wet food for them even if they aren't mine. They need to stay with their mom longer. Now they don't know how to eat. Their mom is protecting them and she stays with them all the time. They are a joy. They are playful and very happy.

If they're not yours then who's are they?
& if you don't want them then take them
to a no kill shelter for them new homes
they're old enough to wean from Mama.
I'd take 1 but my dogs would kill it so I
can't have any right now.

@2ndchances24 This isn't a problem because people like kittens. I will search for owners for them, but now they aren't weaned and they eat only milk. So if I give them now to new owners they will have to receive milk. I am not sure if someone wants that. They will stay with their mom and when they eat solid food they will go to their new homes. I found this: Queens usually begin weaning kittens when they're 6-9 weeks of age, which coincides with the eruption of the kittens' deciduous teeth. Some queens, especially those with small litters, may delay weaning. Typically, weaning takes 4 to 6 weeks. These ones are 5 weeks old.

@dya80dya That is sad, you have rules & laws like that
& no shelters for cats, so what do you do with them?

Aww!
I'm sure mom will even teach them how to eat wet food if given the chance. She's so loving.

She will, but the sooner you can get them to eat the
sooner she'll wean them, their old enough to wean.

It is wonderful that you are taking such good care of the kittens! It sounds that they are lucky to have you looking out for them. Wet food can be a good option to help them transition to eating solid food. If they are still nursing, it is best for them to stay with their mom as long as possible for proper nutrition and socialization. Enjoy your time with these playful little ones!

@dya80dya It's quite normal for kittens to continue nursing exclusively at this age. They typically start showing interest in solid food around 4-6 weeks old, but some may take a little longer. As long as they're healthy, gaining weight, and active, they should be fine. You can try offering them some wet kitten food mixed with a bit of kitten milk replacer to see if they show any interest, but don't worry if they're not quite ready yet. They'll get there!
