Ailurophobia , the fear of cat is not that common but quite a number of people have it. Popular people like Alexandria the Great, Hitler and Mussolini are some of the notable people known to have the fear of cat. What does it even mean to have the fear of cats of all animals?

It would make sense to fear BIG cats, but domestic kittens...
Well, when they get mad and hiss, they can be quite scary. Then I'm sure those with allergies are somehow afraid of cats too.
I'm not afraid of cats in general as they give you a clear warning before they attack, and if you respect their boundaries they won't even bother attacking. Other animals might be harder to read.

I think tigers and lions are the big cats worth fearing.

No, I don't suffer from Ailurophobia. Exactly the opposite Infact. I love cats. They are my favourite animal, and I like to stroke them, if they'll stand still long enough!

Ailurophobia, the fear of cats, is indeed not as common as some other phobias. It is interesting to note that historically, some notable figures like Alexander the Great, Hitler, and Mussolini were reported to have had this fear. However, it is essential to remember that phobias can affect anyone regardless of their status or background.
