I got the loaf of bread into the bread machine. I set it on timer so that it will drive not only the inspectors but the other "inmates', sigh, okay-residents, nuts. Nothing starts a person drooling like a loaf of bread baking!!!...

I'll be heading to Chicago this weekend. It's a High School reunion, but I'm really focused on getting a corned beef sandwich at Morrie's Deli on 57the Street on the South Side, where I grew up.
It will be interesting to see...

This makes me want to cry! Bo and Rachel got married last summer, on the beach along Lake Huron. Jay married them, which was a real privilege. It was a lovely setting and not the least bit expensive.
Now, Bo refuses to be married...

I get some of my best ideas for posting a discussion just by responding to you guys.
Here's one from today, having a discussion from @2ndchances24 about diabetes.
The discussion led me to thinking about all the sugar in food and...

Kayla Tsukino Something claiming to be sugar free really isn't. It either has less than is required to be labeled as sugar, or is an alternitive. Sugar in and of itself is habit forming, you're right. However, the alternitives carry their own risks. As alterntive substutes...

Yesterday was breaded shrimp basket supper and that was tasty for sure- a grand way to celebrate Mom's Day.
Today I stepped back into the other side of the planet: beets. I'm really not a fan of beets. (My Mom loved them!)
I...

Please don't tell anybody this. Let it be our little secret, to quote the great Scarr, from Lion King:
A lot of stereo (and mono) components from the late 1960s and early 1970s, including the Sherwood S-7100A receiver, Marantz...

Lost power for about 30 seconds today. Around 2pm it got so dark I had to turn on lights. Rained all day, but not hard for long. Mostly just a soft steady rain. Good for my roses
