A Rainy Day

United States
September 10, 2020 9:12am CST
Happy Thursday Everyone! it's a rainy day here today and it actually looks like a cold and damp day outside. The temperatures will only reach the high 70s F. Pretty soon we'll be wearing warmer clothes and I won't be able to go outside without shoes and a sweater. I totally dislike hot weather but the one advantage is I can open the sliding doors to the deck and stand out there while the dogs go into the yard to do their business. No worry about putting on shoes, etc. When I was getting dressed this morning I was thinking that I have to go through my clothes from last winter and see what I have. Little by little I've been getting rid of old clothes and today I have a small bag that will be donated. My oldest daughter scheduled a pick up from Salvation Army for Oct something so I'll bring my stuff over to her house so it can go too. At least I can free up some room on the shelves in the garage and feel good that my "stuff" is going to a new home. I don't know how I got off on a tangent about clothes this morning but my mind just wanders sometimes Anyway, it's time for my coffee and some myLotting. While I'm at the computer I have to pay some bills and check my Ebay to see if anything sold. Other than that it's just another day

it is pretty humid here so not too cool. I love wearing fall clothes when the weather is cool and crisp.

We are also having showers now, so I had to do yoga instead of my morning walk. Hubs brought my last bag of donated clothes to Goodwill last week. I need to order some fresh new winter clothes this year. Haven't worn any in 7 years.

I'm late getting on to the site, but I was looking forward to reading your post. I was thinking that it will soon be time to start to get those 3/4 length sleeved tops out, some days I would feel quite comfortable wearing that. And its a gradual way to ease into the winter clothes.

I don't like the heat, but don't like the cold either. I do enjoy the cool Spring and Fall weather.

@Marilynda1225 Both are cooler and more beautiful than the other two seasons. Although, I do like the snow before anyone walks on it.

It's natural to go from not needing shoes and sweaters to go outside to looking through your clothes for what you can donate. I hope the day is good and the coffee too.

I have thrown some of my unused clothes in the clothes container nearby. Still, I have some more to get rid of. Have a nice Thursday to you, too.

Here we are expecting rain for the coming week. I still need to look at my winter clothes but I don't think I will buy new ones.
