18 April - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening from a cool, wet Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It's raining. We're not supposed to get a lot, not like yesterday, but we need every drop, so I'm not upset about it. Come to think about it, it rained 46 years ago today too. There were tornado warnings out in the Chicago area. I have much to be thankful for today. Today is my youngest son's birthday. He's a wonderful young man who loves gaming, Legos, and Star Wars. I talked to him this afternoon for a little bit. He's having a good birthday. I'm thankful for spending time with you today. You're a big part of my life. I enjoy knowing how things are with you in your world. I have the notifications done twice. I'm thankful for the work I did today on Faith to Believe. This one is taking a lot of work as I fix each sentence to single space. I wish there was a change all for spaces. If not for the sentences, it would go much faster. I'm thankful for getting all my steps before noon. I'm well past it now. I'm thankful for the bouquet of tulips I found outside my door. They're beautiful from a good friend down the hall. She calls me her best friend. She's the decorator here and a fantastic person. I'm thankful I figured out what was wrong with my phone. Last night and this morning I couldn't hear anyone when they called. On a whim, I clicked on check data. Voila! I can hear people on the phone again. I'm thankful for the manager at Walgreens calling me. I did a survey and asked for someone to call me. Someone has been using my phone number for a few months now when they make a purchase. The first time I saw it, I thought they got hold of my debit card number, but no. They paid cash and used my phone number. Well, that means they're also using my rewards. The manager called me this morning and with a little brainstorming, we figured out how to solve the problem. He updated my account and put a 'check ID' note on the account for the cashier. It means I'll need to show my ID too, but that's fine. It's the only way to verify it's me. I'm thankful Spectrum replied to my e-mail. The bill still hasn't gone down. He told me there's a pending work order. I hope it gets changed soon. I don't want to pay $92 a month for Internet. I'm thankful my doctor's appointment went well and as expected. He listened, he took notes with pen and paper, and did it all in just a few minutes. This wasn't my primary, but my gastro. I have a colonoscopy to look forward to next year. But with my problem, it's necessary. My friend did the Valerie thing and got lost getting there. I was late, but not more than a couple of minutes. I'm thankful I looked through my finished manuscripts and found another one I can work on and hopefully finish editing and have ready to publish this year. No sentence problems. It's been a while since I read this one. It's good. I passed this one around work to those who wanted to read it as I was writing it. I became known as the Mafia queen. The name of the book is In the Hands of Mighty Men and is historical fiction. It takes place during Prohibition. In case you're counting, that's three books I'm working on and one I'm writing. Okay, that's my day. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. Another picture of my son. This was Mother's Day a few years ago.

Today felt to quiet on mylot, but that's due in large to my late start. I'm still thankful. George is trying real hard and improving everyday. He's aware, and his talking is still hit-or-miss. But he's asking for things like hotdogs. He tried to tell me what he wanted to eat. It's a lot more than what he was doing. I'm doing my best. I got the laundry done today, and I'll pull it out of the dryer tomorrow. It's bedding day. It'll be interesting to see how well it works. So far the new washer and dryer are working out amazing.

They're beautiful. Thank you. He had a wonderful birthday. He even got an extra tip when his passenger learned it was his birthday, when his sister called him to wish him a Happy Birthday. I thought that was special. He's an Uber driver.

@LadyDuck Yes, it is. He can work when he wants to, which is a lot. I think he puts in an easy eight hours a day, probably more.

Sounds like a full day there. That's good to have those things to be thankful for. That test does not sound fun, for sure. $92 for internet is a lot. We pay more sadly

I'm sorry you pay more than that for your Internet. Thank you. I have a lot to be thankful for always. The test itself is okay. It's the prep that's awful.

@MommyOfEli2013 Yes, it's gross. The last time they offered pills. Better, but not by much. I'm sorry they didn't stay with the old company.

@just4him Well if they would have done the upgrades in these apartments we could have stayed with our old company and it would be cheaper. But we had to get new internet which is at least double what we were paying. No problem, and that is great to hear that you do. Understandable, I remember when my mom had the test and had to drink all that gross stuff.

Sounds like you had a wonderful day and glad your son was enjoying his birthday. I don't know how you keep track of the books you're working on and how all the characters don't get jumbled up. Glad your doctor appointment went well.

Well number one, they each have their file. That's the easy part. Second, the stories are all different, not like those predictable books where you know the story when you read the first line. Then I'm sure it would be difficult to keep the characters straight. However, with each story being different, it's easy to keep the characters straight too. It was a wonderful day. Thank you, he had a wonderful birthday. Thank you. I told my friend it would be fifteen minutes. It was half an hour with the waiting. I think I saw him for fifteen minutes.

Happy belated Birthday to your son. I really have had it with Spectrum. They are just so expensive. Great picture.

I understand that. I have no choice with the Internet program. In the city of Green Bay there are only two providers. AT&T and Spectrum. I WILL NOT have AT&T. They have the worst customer service. I'm so happy they aren't in this complex. The complex offers free cable through Spectrum. Both services cost the same. So, if I must have one, the one with the better customer service will win.
