New Smart Watch

My case manager for my health benefits set me up to have a new smart watch that is much like the Fit Bit. it takes my pulse, counts my steps, tells me the weather and time. But it is also, and most importantly, a call for help button. I just got it set up yesterday and have been wearing it. So far I like it. For a very short while I had the Life Alert button you could wear as a necklace or bracelet, but it did not work properly for me. Plus it did not keep you on tabs outside your home. This smart watch can keep me connected for quite a distance. I don't go very far anyway, so that works great. This watch really holds a good charge. I have had it on since about 7 this morning and it still has a good full battery. But the watchband is soft plastic and sweaty. So, I do take it off at night to let my skin breathe. The only problem I have is that I wear it on my left wrist because I am right-handed. That is the hand I use when I take my dog outside, and I always loop the leash handle around my wrist. It is safer for the dog that way because I do not wish to drop the leash by holding it in my hand. I try not to loop it too closely to the watch. I don't want my little dog to accidently push the help button. LOL

Good point when walking the dog!! Maybe you can switch arms for dog walking?

I just noticed that the fat rubber part of the leash handle is splitting, so I am going to switch to one of the other leashes I have that is thinner and fabric. That one should not give me problems with the watch I think,

Vince has a watch like this and it's SOOO good. It also reminds him of his important pills at 6am and 6pm. They really are a godsend and could easily be a life saver.

I don't think mine has a timer. That would be nice to have, but my phone does that for me if I need it. I use that for appointments, etc.
