Good afternoon myLot friends. 
What a wonderful change of plans in my day for today. 
We were not busy at work, not at all. I have worked a little longer both yesterday as well as the day before. Today I decided to take the afternoon off.
I plan on going over to our son's place and spending the rest of the afternoon with Grandpa and the twins. I don't think that my day can get any better now.

I only have a few more years left to work, and I should keep my nose to the grindstone for that entire time, but the girls will only be this age once, and I love to leave a bit early to spend time with them. When I retire they will be in school already.

@MarieCoyle I have always had that same feeling, live for today, and the experiences, the white glove test can be put off to another day.

I always used to think of that old poem by Ruth Hubert Hamilton. It's long, but the last verse is the best!~

And they really, really don't keep! Take your moments when you can get them, they grow up so, so fast!

@wolfgirl569 With them being 2 and having so much energy and me being well, 61, and having thyroid issues as of late, they can run circles around me.

Thanks.
I only have a few years left to work, and I should be working as much as I can during that time, but those little girls will have grown up and started to school by the time that I retire, I like to take a little time now and then to enjoy them at this age.

It was a great afternoon.
This evening I will go over for a couple of hours while they go out together.
It should prove to be interesting if I can get both girls down for their regular bedtime. We have a tendency to lose track of the time when we're playing and reading books together.
