What Does Your Diet Look Like?

What do you like to eat? Do you get three meals each day? Do you eat the things you like? I snack in the morning(I'd rather eat a big breakfast but my daughter won't do that) and then eat dinner about 5 or 6p. I am eating salmon once a week. The rest of the time I eat eggs, cottage cheese, cheese, and quiche. I don't eat a lot of vegetables but I do like asparagus, avocado, and spinach. I love potatoes but I can't stand sweet potatoes or squash. I do like raspberries, strawberries, watermelon, blackberries, plums, prunes, oranges. pineapple, grapefruit, and cantaloupe if I can find a good one which is rather rare. I like pork but I don't eat much of it. I don't eat hamburgers very often anymore. I am a foodie and I enjoy Chinese and Mexican What do you like? Do you eat a specialized diet?

@Celticeagle I'm on a seafood diet - I see food and eat it. I love Indian food but mostly eat loads of vegetables. Salmaon is a favourite too

I do pretty much the same. I haven't eaten much Indian food. Salmon is my all-time favorite.

I´m not on any special diet. I eat small breakfasts and big lunches. For dinner it depends on what is around.

I have a very strict budget and can order groceries only once a month, I make sure I get what I need and plenty of frozen sufff to make. I love cottage cheese and occasionally get eggs, Fruits are usual too expensive, Meat is the biggest problem but lately I have decided I am very happy with chicken thighs, some frozen meals, and my all time favorite pork sausage patties, Usually I eat about twice a day and some snacks in between,

I like pork sausage also. For some reason I am not real into chicken.

@celticeagle it is odd about chicken which is the most affordable for me, I have had time to analyze the prices and what I can afford each month and have found much meat to not be qualitative, So I am crossing out ground beef and that leaves me with chicken thighs which always come out tender and frozen pork sausage patties which I like to eat, However, as they say it is becoming same old same old so I will try to see what else I can come up with or it becomes eating because you have to not because you enjoy I,

@RasmaSandra .........Chicken is a good staple. I eat some tuna in scrambled eggs and am finding eggs to be very filling and enjoyable. In the winter it is pretty cheap to eat when we make a lot of casseroles and soups that last for more than one day. But, in summer it is hard to eat lighter and find more things to eat. The same ole same ole gets pretty tiresome.

Ever since my hubby was super ill he has wanted nothing to do with fatty meat and zip on pork. He needs to at least maintain his slimness or gain five pounds. I could lose 30 pounds and be healthier. So about a month ago we went back to a vegetarian lifestyle. Tonight we had fresh mushrooms with tofu in orange sauce and powdered ginger. Chunk of yam. Chard on the side. A piece of Dove chocolate. Yesterday we had broccoli and black beans in our supper and more yam chunks. Orange vegies give a person more nutrition. He is trying to not go the diabetic route and I need to not go there either. No way am I starving. I have lost 5 to 7 pounds in this month.

Ginger is very good for you. I think that mushrooms should be listed as a meat source. They really fill me up and are quite tasty. So many ways to fix them too. There are few if any orange veggies that I can eat. Squash has a consistency that makes me gag. I can't eat them. although I do like the occasional acorn squash with butter and brown sugar. It's great that you lost that weight. I don't want to go the diabetic route either although I am pre-diabetic. I am trying to watch what I eat but my daughter will only fix certain things and not all are nutritious.

@celticeagle You're in a hard way over there. My hubby was diabetic then he lost all that weight and is now pre-diabetic. I haven't had butter in a while. Sounds good but for now not going there. I did just eat a Dove chocolate. I eat two or three Dove tasties most days.

@sallypup .......I haven't tried Dove brand chocolate. I am sort of picky about what chocolates I will eat. But when money is an issue I have to eat what I can afford.

I love all foods and have no restrictions. I love fresh vegetables and fruits, limit my red meat, and don’t care for desserts unless we have guests. I don’t eat breakfast unless we go out for it, only eat fruit for lunch, and enjoy full course dinners. I do love pizza, French food, seafood, Italian, Mexican, Romanian, Chinese, Thai, a good steakhouse, Turkish food, Jewish deli food, etc….. I could go on and on….

I usually eat what I want. I've lost 24 pounds since my husband's been gone. He usually fixes my meals for me. I've been eating a lot of PB&J sandwiches which I'm sure has less calories than chicken tenders and potato salad. Have a good day.
