Love them while you can

Time sure flies, doesn't it? My boys, Snow and Blackie just turned 6 and 5 this April. Their momma, Peachy, is gearing up for her 7th in May. It's a reminder of how quickly our furry companions grow alongside us. But with that joy comes the inevitable pang of knowing that our time with them is limited. That moment when we have to say goodbye—it's a tough reality. They're only with us for a fraction of our lives, but for them, we are their entire life! Only those who've loved and lost a furry friend truly understand the feeling.

I try not to think about all of that. I've lost several furr babies over my lifetime. In fact, I'm down to one. I'm dreading the day he joins the others in the yard. Instead, I focus on the good things. Like how he's curled against my husband, George.

It's tough losing furry companions, but cherishing the moments with them brings so much joy. Your furr baby snuggling with George sounds like a treasure. Here's to making the most of every wag and purr!

Thank you! Blackie is indeed a handsome boy, and he brings so much joy to my life together with his brother and their momma. I'm grateful for every moment with them. Pets really do make life sweeter, don't they?
