I've been through some up and down relationships in my lifetime. Ones that started off so "good" and eventually went so "bad." I'm sure many can relate to those feelings. And musicians definitely can, with the number of songs they write about women (or guys) who did them wrong. So, let's take a look at some bad a** titled songs on today's playlist. Comments, musings, your own favorite "good or bad" titled songs and trivia always welcome... BABY DID A BAD BAD THING- CHRIS ISAAK (1995) -You may not be familiar with this artist and his retro rockabilly sound and combed back Elvis hair, but his songs of heartbreak and lust is typical of the kind of tunes Isaak writes. Another of those type tunes, "Wicked Game," was a breakout hit for this artist, and has a similar feel to the one in this video track. Enjoy this musical throwback... *Have you ever heard of Chris Isaak or his song "Wicked Game"? TRIVIA CHALLENGE ***Now for our trivia music challenge for those who like to play along. See if you can guess these selections. Words in "quote marks" provide valuable clues! Name this week's tune, artist or facts: 1. This artist wrote a "bad guy song" called "You Don't Mess Around with Jim," and decided to record another "bad titled tune," about a mean old cuss named Mr."Brown." In the song he makes a move on another guy's wife, a "bad" move, for in the ensuing fight that man "leaves him looking like a jigsaw puzzle with some missing pieces." This singer-songwriter had another chart toping hit besides this one called "Time in a Bottle" which became #1 after he tragically, "died in a plane crash." -Do you know the name of this artist and his bad-titled song? 2. This "female rocker's" last name is the same as a "plane that is propelled by ____ engines." Make sure you add an "extra t" in your answer, lol. Although this artist was not born with that last name, "Joan" really is her first name. This musician started out playing in a "band called The Runaways." This tune is about "character or one's image" which in Joan's case wasn't "too good." She was considered a "wild woman," with black hair, a leather jacket, and electric guitar. Record companies did not want her "rep"resenting their label. So, she released the song on her own "Blackheart Records" label. -Do you know the name of this female artist and her bad titled song? 3. "Yer So Bad" is a great tune released by the same artist who recorded "American Girl." This tune was on his first solo album minus the "Heartbreakers," although some members did play on the LP. -Do you know the name of this artist? Hoping you have "no bad omens" when solving these artists and songs. If you're stuck and need additional hints just let me know in your response. I'll be glad to supply one. Or, as the band Chicago would say, you can "Call on Me." Thanks for reading and responding to my music post!!! I will return with a new edition in the near future. Hope you can wait till then, lol. Stay tuned... Source- Wikipedia & songfacts.com

You got two... I'll have to deliver the "bad news" to Leroy Brown that you came up short on knowing Jim Croce's song, lol. I know you've heard Joan Jett's song about her "Bad Reputation." -Joan Jett considered "Bad Reputation" her signature song because she co-wrote it, although her recording of "I Love Rock and Roll" was a #1 hit and is more well-known. Enjoy...

Love Chris Isaak! I remember being impressed by his Heart Shaped World album in 1989. 1. That’d be Jim Croce, and “Not Good, Not Good Leroy Brown.” The not-goodest man in the whole damn town! 2. Joan Larkin! Glad she took “Jett” instead of “turboprop” for a stage name. Don’t I have such a bad reputation for answering these? 3. His middle name was Earl! Love Full Moon Fever so much, and I frequently tell Scar D. Cat’s owner “Yer So Bad” when he posts those hilarious memes on Facebook.

Now those responses are just "Wicked Bad" as in good, lol. Glad to know there are some Chris Isaak fans out there. Jim Croce wrote some tender love songs, but Bad Bad Leroy Brown wasn't one of them nor was You Don't Mess Around with Jim. Two tough guys who met their match... *Larkin does not fit the last name of a rock n' roller. Jett definitely sounds better. Even turboprop as a matter of fact.

Not bad, not much help needed here. Isaak actually had a series on Showtime where at the end he would play one of his tunes with his band. His crooner sound and image are often compared to those of Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley, and Ricky Nelson. The song you missed was "Bad Reputation." Enjoy Chris Issak's signature song "Wicked Game."
