I got a short cycle in yesterday! Do you ever feel like a blob?

I have been feeling a bit "blobous" recently. Too many beers and cigarettes and not enough exercise. But I started getting back into (occasional) curls and leg lifts and push-ups a month or so ago. I used to be a good athlete, and don't want to turn into a full-time blob.
A week or so ago, I got un-lazy and cycled around a bit. My legs hurt slightly during (lactic acid?) but not after. Yesterday, I cycled for a bit longer. Same thing. During but not after. I'm going to keep stretching my cycles out a bit until cycling becomes "the norm" in my life again.
Do you ever feel blobous? Yes, @Just4Him, @Vandana7, and others. You may poke me anywhere you like with whatever have on hand, so long as it encourages me to get out and exercise more. And, sorry to the same: I got some work done on my book yesterday.
Photo is of the bike path "with enhancements." No, I wasn't taking any LSD that day. I used a color enhancement setting on my photo editor.

I hope that you can get motivated to exercise. I don’t enjoy all exercise, but I feel great afterwards. I did have problems with my legs hurting. Movement and Omega 3 every day helps tremendously. I rarely have any leg discomfort now.

I see commercial for Omega 3. Does it really work?

@Marilynda1225 it really has been very helpful for me. My son got me started on it about 5 years ago. I never had been a vitamin or supplement taker, but he has my husband and I on the omega and a multivitamin. I turn 62 this year and feel better than I did a decade or more ago.

Personally I refer to myself as pleasantly plump and due to my bad knee and my sciatica the most activity I will try for during the warmer weather is walking outside,

Slowly but surely you'll build up your ability to cycle longer. Yes, I definitely have my blob or couch potato days.

Yeppers. I was a young man when I lived in Bloomington Indiana, where "Breaking Away" was filmed. My softball buddies and I would cycle in the hills around Bloomington. We all hurt the first few times out. But after two or three longish cycles, we were "in shape." No more pain.

Beautiful photo! I think this should be enough of a motivation to keep going; a bike can get you to lovely places and you can share the sights with us.
You're also lucky your legs are still very strong and you don't need days to rest after the "workout", unlike someone else's. Maybe I simply overdid that time.

@TheHorse Wise words! But I like exploring places so there's little to see if I keep the distance short, hopefully I'll find easier routes that are somehow exciting.

@sabtraversa I sometimes throw my bike in the back of the truck and drive to places where a short cycle can yield pretty views.

I feel like a blob every day; but at least I lost 24 pounds. I wish I could exercise. I'm glad you're picking up your exercise time. You'll live longer. Have a good day.

@LindaOHio If you start at 40, can you get up to 60 in a few weeks?
