I have been unable to post a discussion yesterday due to my focus on creating exams for my students. These exams, scheduled for May 16th and 17th, have been a significant undertaking, and I am now concerned about whether my students will be adequately prepared to excel. This concern stems from their tendency to avoid participating in activities during asynchronous classes, as well as the high rate of absenteeism during online sessions.
The preference for face-to-face learning over online classes is evident among the students, but unfortunately, the current weather conditions have necessitated the temporary suspension of in-person classes. Today, I successfully completed the exams.
Additionally, I spent time yesterday assisting a friend with preparing a speech for her Grade 1 child. Although I did not seek payment for this gesture, my friend insisted on showing her appreciation by sending a delicious afternoon snack for me and my mother.

That's true! Sometimes it seems like expression of gratitude are becoming less common. But even small gestures of thanks can make a big difference in how people feel about their interactions and relationships.

I agree! There's something about the atmosphere of a classroom, the spontaneous discussions, and the shared learning experiences that make it irreplaceable.
