A surprise for The Horse this morning!

Last night was pretty normal. I slept well and didn't get any leg cramps (my nemesis). I got up at about three AM to chase off the raccoon that was trying to open Kitty's Meow Mix bag, and then went to bed and had good dreams.
But this morning I woke up at 7 AM to the unmistakable sound of rain. We have had more than a week of sunny days, with highs around 75 degrees (perhaps 23 C). I was surprised by the rain. It is a slow , steady Seattle-style rain. My crops will be happy.
I also got a pleasant surprise at work yesterday: a merit-based raise! I didn't really pay attention to the specifics. I was just glad to be "acknowledged."
Soon I will be off to Guitar Center for six students. Hopefully I will get my weekly hug from Ava, my 7 1/2 year-old piano student. Maybe I'll even discuss brain physiology with her daddy. He is a professor of physiology (actually, anatomy), and we often have interesting conversation after her lessons.

Let's see no rain sunny weather but in the wee hours of the morning I have a nasty bug bite on my left calf and while I have been taking care of it still it bothers me and is painful so I sleep on my side so I do not have the other foot on the painful one, So talking about surprises mine was not pleasant I forgot the position I was in and rammed my right knee into my left calf and spent about five to ten minutes with pain from the wound going through my leg,

@TheHorse just got some peroxide with my grocery order and will pour that on, Been using iodine and washing it and putting on bandages,
