It is getting hard for me to want to go to school, although we are winding down.
All the little extras, they are fun, but take time as well.
A fifth grade teacher I work with is being honored by a baby shower today. Four of us went together and bought a case of sensitive skin baby wipes, plus some little things to decorate the box.
Next week that teacher's mom is being honored at a retirement party.
Some people brought cake last week to honor people who are getting their degrees, or further degrees this spring.
Busy and fun for sure. Also loaded with calories.
Bob is borrowing my car for his appointments, so we must leave a bit early. He has to go earlier this week. I am ready for the appointments to be done as well.

Are you guys getting storms tonight? We’ve been told tornadoes are coming throughout the afternoon and tonight, and I was wondering if they are traveling up to you.
Are you still thinking you need to work two or three more years? I think my dad might be moving up his retirement date. He was thinking 73, but I’d be shocked if he goes past one more year.

We had some predictions of tornadoes that did not come through. It was enough that the local places that shelter were posting instructions. I am committing at this point to one more year, with shortened hours. I want to be part of the transition for my little guy. On the other hand, if the right work from home came up, I would say "forget it". Working gives structure and socialization to my life.
