Firstly, I want to apologize for not giving you any news these days, they have been complicated days but thank God everything is going well. My daughter left the hospital yesterday, she still can't go to school for at least 2 weeks. She has a hepatology appointment on the 16th to check if her liver values are closer to normal. I was also tested for hepatitis A and as it came back negative, I got the vaccine. My husband and son will also get the shot. As it is not a vaccine that is part of the vaccination plan, I did not know it existed. It's a shame I didn't know about the existence of the vaccine beforehand, all this suffering could have been avoided. Now time, lots of rest and a balanced diet will do the rest for her to fully recover. Thank you all for your love, prayers and messages, those who have friends are never alone. Picture of my daughter a few years ago.

I also did not know that there is a vaccine for the hepatitis. Well, what is very important is that your daughter is doing better. After those two weeks of rest she will be fully recovered, I am sure. She is a pretty girl.

@nela13 I wonder why they did not warn people in the schools so that the students could be vaccinated. We are always informed when it is too late.

@LadyDuck Unfortunately that is true, if more people get the shot the disease won't spread so easily.

The doctor said there is an outbreak of hepatitis A, especially in adults. If she had gotten the vaccine none of this would have happened and it seems that anyone can get the vaccine.

I'm glad she is out of the hospital. I'm glad you tested negative. I hope she recovers fully and can get back to school. Will she be able to before school is out for the year?

This hepatitis is not so dangerous. My mom had hepatitis C. I didn't know that a vaccine exists.

It seems almost everyone who gets hepatitis A fully recover and I believe she will recover too. It is important to know what vaccines exist, we can protect ourselves and our family.

It is good that your daughter has been discharged from the hospital and is recovering at home. I hope that the rest of the family tests negative as this type of hepatitis can take quite a long time to run its course.

I didn't know about the vaccines either until I found out I had Hepatitis C. Before taking the medicine for Hepatitis C, I had to get the vaccines for both Hepatitis A and B.

A beautiful picture. I´m glad that your daughter is better. I remember that I had to be on a diet for some time when I had hepatitis A decades ago.

Thank you for your prayers. If more people know about the vaccine, more people will get the shot and that is important to stop the disease. Thank you, she is very sweet.
