Will this guy be back on the streets when someone comes up with $50,000?

What an odd story. When I was in grade school, and even high school, we would sometimes let someone have "butts," or "back butts," in lunch line. I think some kids call them "cuts." This fella felt someone had "cut him" in line, and ultimately opened fire on the guy. He missed his target, but did hit a police officer in the leg. He is now claiming "self defense," and bail was set at only $50,000. If my understanding is correct , he could be back on the streets if someone posts bond for him. I know we all carry guns into restaurants, but would you shoot at someone for "taking cuts on you" without asking? Would this person be back out on the streets so quickly where you live? I hope the police officer who got shot does not get arrested for "being in the way of an assailant's bullet."

I live in Canada. We're too polite to cut in line...

Who would be idiotic enough to post the bail?

@TheHorse ........Surely if someone is a danger to others surely they wouldn't let them out on bail anyway.

I think that trigger-happy fellow should be tied to a tree and interrogated by the super large alligator,

Or buried in a red ant hill and have honey poured over his head. Lower animals are "intuitive."

That's ridiculous. Another story about someone with mental challenges. Love the picture. Where was it taken? Have a good evening.

Wow, that's a bizarre and troubling situation. I can't imagine resorting to violence over something as trivial as someone cutting in line. It's concerning that bail was set at only $50,000, potentially allowing the shooter to be back on the streets so quickly.

I find the US to be odd when it comes to violent crime. If we have to build more jails, then we should build more jails.
