Gas prices dropping in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Gas prices have fluctuated rather wildly over the past couple of years here in the San Francisco Bay Area. I think they dropped to a low of about $4.19/gallon a year or so ago at my "discount" gas station, but then rose to $5.69 a couple of months ago. Since then they have dropped to the current $5.25. Are gas prices dropping where you live? I have no idea what caused the rise we experienced over the past year. I think much of it predated Hamas's attack on Israel. And I have no idea what caused the recent drop. Photo is of the San Francisco Bay Bridge. I took it a few years ago on the way to a San Francisco Giants baseball game.

No. But then, we are an importing nation and with what is going on with Ukraine, Russia, and middle east, our import costs don't seem to come down. They are only rising with Houthis doing what they are doing. You win some you lose some. I can live with less gas. I can travel less. But tornadoes...no chance...you cannot manage them, nor reason with them. LOL

@TheHorse Life is life, those who lose it, must hurt. Austerity on the other hand is advised for many reasons. How about for pollution and global warming?

Tomatoes take out only a few houses (mostly trailers) and people when they come through.

Let us know when you find out. Maybe I'll buy some more before it starts rising again. I dunno.

Nice photo! I think the recent increases had a lot to do with the Houthis shooting at ships in the Red Sea. I hadn't notice prices decreasing here yet.

Did yours rise a bunch until a month or so ago?

There never seems to be any rhyme nor reason for petrol hikes.

Gasoline prices in Lake Charles have dropped a little bit recently with the average price of gasoline around $3.09 per gallon.

That would be wonderful by our standards. There are too many moving parts for me to speculate on why gas went up and then down here.
