Watching Doctor Who at midnight!

I stayed up last night to watch Doctor Who when it dropped on iPlayer at midnight UK time. Actually, I started watching at 12:15am on Saturday morning. The first episode is called Space Babies. It is about talking (space) babies who run a baby farm on a space station! And in the lower decks there lives a bogeyman! The "bogeyman" was very frightening. The babies were terrified of it. The second episode is called The Devil's Chord. In England, 1963 the Beatles and Cilla Black have forgotten how to sing! And it's all the fault of the evil Maestro, a kind of demi-god played by drag queen Jinkx Monsoon! I thought these two episodes were amazing! There was a real sense of jeopardy in both. And there is a really good chemistry between the Doctor and Ruby Sunday. There is going to be a running theme through the whole series of the fact that both Ruby and the Doctor are "Foundlings" and this was addressed in the first episode a little. And then, when I went to sleep, I dreamt I was in an episode of Doctor Who with Ncuti Gatwa! There was definitely a space station and a long corridor to run down in that. If you want to watch these episodes of Doctor Who they are available on BBC iPlayer now, and will be on BBC1 tonight at 6:20pm and 7:05pm in the UK, and Disney+ in the rest of the world where available.

@grenery8 I don't know what you've been reading, but my post was about the most recent episodes of Doctor Who that aired just last Saturday.

I'm sorry about that. That's such a shame. They say that Doctor Who is going global now that it's on Disney+ and more people will be able to see it, but they don't take into account that some people don't have Disney+. I'm glad I'm in the UK and we still get to see it on BBC1.

@jstory07 You watched all of William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton? I'm old enough to have watched Jon Pertwee back in the day, but not old enough to.remember it. I've got most of them on DVD, except some of the animated ones.

I have never seen Doctor Who, but of course, I’ve heard tons about it. Who was your favorite doctor?

@sharonelton It airs on cable channels that are on a higher tier. I have basic cable, and two tiers up is the channel with Doctor Who. I don’t have Disney+ right now, but maybe someday!

You've never seen Doctor Who?! My favourite Doctor was the Eighth Doctor played by Paul McGann.

I'm glad you enjoyed the Dr Who episodes. Our sons used to watch Dr Who from behind the couch so they could hide if it all got too scary.

Thank you very much. Yes, it was really good. Yes, a lot of people did that. It's a kind of running joke. I don't think I ever did that!
