What Would I Do?

If I woke up in the Twilight Zone tomorrow and Mylot was gone (What a horrible thought!)what would I do? I suppose I would watch TV until I was semi-comatose with saliva dripping from my mouth. Or, I could sleep for days waking only occasionally to eat. Or, I could win the lottery and start planning my dream home. Or, I could read Pippi Longstocking again. Or, I could finish the great American novel that I have been working on since I was 15. Now which one would you choose for me to do?

I don't know, but myLot and everything else WAS gone this morning. I had to reboot and reset things back to the way I want them.

What a wild hypothetical scenario! If MyLot suddenly disappeared and you found yourself in the Twilight Zone, faced with a myriad of options, it's hard to say which one would be the best fit for you.

If losing MyLot is all that changed in your Twilight Zone, you would be lucky. I live in the zone now in real life. In many ways, we all do with the way the world is changing. However, for personal zone, the new company who owns this apartment building has not had the grass mowed since early spring when it first started getting green. I think the city mowed it a month ago, the only time it has been mowed all spring so far. It stands taller in many places than my small dog is tall. It has all gone to seed. They promised that their company has their own landscapers which is why we all had to give up our personal gardens. Yet they have done nothing at all. In addition, our manager was rightfully fired, and not yet replaced. He was fired Feb 28th. But I doubt they wlll get to hire anyone to do what they want, and that is to do full time work in halftime hours. The maintenance man quit a couple of weeks after the manager was fired. We have not had regular maintenance done since. Not to mention that the company had started remodeling projects that now stand unfinished. We have a woman who comes from the corporate office twice a week to take care of the major paperwork and emergencies. We have always had this space in the activity room where people could put items they no longer want, or if they are moving out, to put things there that they are not going to take with them. Those items are for the rest of us to pick and choose anything we might want or need. We have a person moving out who put things out, and today when this corporate person came up, she threw everything into the dumpster and put up a sign that if we ever put anything there again, she will lock us out of the activity room. Twilight Zone? Definitely. Outer Limits too.

True. The world is changing that is for sure. I just look forward to Mylot each day. I would really miss it. Not having maintenance available around here would be awful. This corporate person doesn't seem to know the facts.Outer Liimits for sure.

I've never read Pippi Longstocking. So, I'd probably head for a book store to purchase this book! And if MyLot was suddenly gone, I'd probably reopen my account on Facebook or Twitter:)
