I just saw something interesting

Apparently Amazon is getting into the medical business. They have offered pharmacy services for a few years. They are offering tele health visits for 9.00 per month for Prime members. I was just checking. They only accept my insurance in certain select cities. However, that basic charge is low enough..doesn't really matter. However, I am sure there are up charges for certain things, especially if you got meds through them. I am going to have to give them a call. I hate going to the doctor. Although my doc's office does offer tele health for in between checks. I know most might not accept Amazon as a provider..but if all you need is a med refill..why not?

I would really love to be able to do this here. For the pharmacy refills it's not a big problem, the doctor's prescription is issued for one year, it's enough to call the pharmacy and the day after we have our refills.

Our docs usually want to see us a bit more frequently especially if there are any health issues involved. My last prescriptions were good for six months..but I will probably have to go in there within the next month or so.

@LadyDuck Aspirin is available without a prescription here. Do you need one there?

@snowy22315 Some prescriptions are issued for three months, while others (like cardio aspirin) is for one year. If you need it you must take it forever.

I've seen that Amazon offers pharmacy services but I haven't looked into it. So far I'm doing okay with my regular pharmacy and doctor. I think it would be a good benefit for some people if they can get prescriptions cheaper and a telehealth visit rather than having to see the doctor in person.

I would just be curious to try out the service and see what it is like. It's cheap enough.

@snowy22315 I would be interested in hearing what it's like if you check it out.

@Marilynda1225 As long as you don't have to commit to a plan, I will probably do it, at some point to check it out. I wish they offered vet visits via telehealth.

I read about this. Amazon is going to try to rule the world, but we knew that, didn’t we?

Oh for real!. They aren't having much success breaking up the monopoly, but I surmise it is in court somewhere.

I hate going to doctors too. I do have one that has TeleHealth appointments. The dentist, eye doctor and PCP I must see in person each time unfortunately. Have a good weekend.

It is probably a new service. I doubt it would work in other countries.
