When digging through family tree stuff on Ancestry.com earlier I traced my paternal grandfather's paternal line back to my great-great-great-great grandparents. I always get a little excited when a picture pops up with the tips and hints that Ancestry.com gives me as part of doing searches. If anyone else has added anything that links to that person, it shows up as a hint. This picture is of my great great great great grandparents. Johann Wagner and his wife Mary Wagner nee Frankart. So the internet has a few good things.

That would be so interesting. I have never tried anything like that. I know my family tree up to few generations as it has been written and passed down to us.

I would be pretty excited about that too. You've been able to go a long way back.

@JudyEv I can't afford to waste time. Have to make every waking second count and earn me something if at all possible-.

I have older pictures that I've found. I have a four hour drive tomorrow, so I am taking my phone, adding some extra HotSpot to my phone and I'll be doing it on the trip tomorrow.

This is amazing. I have never met my mother's father and mother because they passed away when she was around 15 years old. If I could find them online, I would be very shocked

I met my mother's father's mother and father. I was lucky enough to have my maternal grandpa until I was in my early twenties, and my maternal grandmother till I was almost 30.

I never tried using ancestry.com. But somehow our family was able to keep up with our family trees.
