I'm Wet

I decided to go out and get my steps on the two trails - pond and wooded between storms. I almost made it home. I had just come off the wooded trail and was headed home when it started to sprinkle. I stopped in the bus shelter for a couple of minutes, but I saw it was getting harder instead of stopping, and my weather app said it would rain for 41 minutes, so I tried dodging raindrops as I hurried home. Fast walk. I'm not soaked. I don't need to change my clothes, but my jacket needs to dry out and my cap is wet. My legs got a bit wet, but nothing that won't dry in a couple of hours. I proved I'm not wicked. I didn't melt in the rain. I'm not made of sugar either, which would have dissolved into nothingness as well. So, I'm good. There was a lone goose on the pond as I passed it and took a few good pictures of him. I stopped to talk to a woman and her dog and saw the other goose as the one in the water joined his/her mate on the pond's edge. I was too far away for those pictures. I found out the woman was from the city I grew up in not far from here and we talked about families we knew. She grew up on the same road as I did, only further down the road into the country. It made for a small world. So, it was an interesting morning and I have all my steps. I also ordered a new pair of shoes before I went out. The ones I have, also new, are uncomfortable, so I'm back to Sketchers and they're the easy slip on type with a bungee closure, which will be good. Okay, that's my wet morning. How's it like by you?
