2004cqui responded to a discussion called Does Science possibly rationalize the existence of God? in religion.

Even if this story is not true, it makes a very good point! (God only knows why I keep this stuff!) As a Professor of Physics, I have greatest regard for Albert Einstein, who is famous for his Theory of Relativity. Albert Einstein wrote a book titled 'God vs. Science' in 1921. Here is a dialogue between Einstein as student and his Professor. "Let me explain the problem science has with relig...

2004cqui responded to a discussion called Age difference of a married couple. in relationships.

I never considered an age gap but I've only been attracted to people my age. My husband is 2 months older than I am. I would never tell someone to consider the age gap but I've learned a lot over the years from other women's experience. I've learned that too much of a gap in age can create problems. The biggest problem is when one retires and the other does not for a few years. My own mother a...

Exactly, go into everything in life with your eyes wide open! I know you do this and I commend you for it!

2004cqui received a best response in the discussion I led people in finding a Nature Name. by writersedge.

I don't know what my "nature name" is but I know what you mean by people being dissatisfied by the finding. When I found out my astrological, Taurus, the bull I was not happy. Fist, I'm not a man and bulls are dangerous to be around. As I found out more and more about Taurus I found it actually suits me.

2004cqui received a best response in the discussion On Censorship by debrakcarey.

In the house I grew up there was tons of censoring going on! My mom and sister were exactly what you describe. It was so bad I couldn't couldn't stand it when I was 6! My dad and I were the only one's who contemplated both sides and thought about the "what ifs", but he was hard at work most of the time. I had to wait for him to come to have someone to talk to! I eliminated this kind of censorsh...

And then there is Rail Road Retirement up on the chopping block! The financial industry is still selling junk and to top it all off, studying what else they can get away with without getting caught! I have personal experience with their ability to keep any illegal activities confidential. We a citizens can't do that! Only "big money" can be guaranteed anonymity! The ugly underbelly of the finan...

2004cqui received a best response in the discussion A Vision of the World As Fair by debrakcarey.

How "true" your discussion is. It is a "true" statement you make about what "fair" really is! It is also very "sad" that people think "the government should do something" about what we think is wrong. I was just having a discussion about "the government" on Saturday. Who is the government? We are! As we gather around the campfire bringing up our concerns to people who can't make a difference do...

Do you notice background noise?

As I sit here this morning it has finally dawned on me why the noises I can hear inside my house from the distant highway are so pleasant to me. I usually get up before dawn, when things are quiet...

Do you have a bigger vocabulary than spelling ability?

Oh how frustrated I get with my ability to spell. Back in school I learned it was my fault that I didn't know how to spell! How else do you explain an "F" on spelling tests? Then there were the...

Leaving technology behind

Today is the beginning of our part of the year we like to call "downtime". No laptops, limited mobile technology, maybe a little TV depending on rain, hot plate or campfire food, etc. This goes...

Easter has come and gone As well as the traditions of the previous generations.

I remember the time when mothers dictated the time and place everyone in the family must be during a major holiday? So when you got married you had to hit both homes, eat a lot and leave. I love the...

Let it be known; chocolate cake = death!

Now a quarter of a million people can be aware that if my husband becomes dead mysteriously look for the tell tale signs of a freshly baked cake, most probably in the kitchen!
At the risk of having...
