I only wash clothes by hand if it says to do so on the tag. If there were a "hand-wash" service for clothes I would use it. There are dry cleaning services available, but I have never found a "wash clothes by hand" service.

This is a great question that I have been trying to answer for myself, for the last ten years I have been a full time home-maker. I have still not been able to answer it to my full satisfaction. On one level homemaking is all about managing a household, on another level it is something that defies definition at this point in U.S. history.

I didn't know washing machines had filters. If mine has one, i have not changed it in over ten years. Where would it be?

This is a very helpful definition of homemaking. I find that the variety of terms that are available to describe "homemaking" show how complex this job is.

It is also not easy for me to make many real friends, whom I will keep in touch after a while. I have minor attention deficit and I feel that I unintentionally yet easily offend many potential future friends. I also do not have a very "exciting" personality. Other than my closest friends, who are my immediate family members, it is very difficult to connect with people.
