Bluepatch responded to a discussion called Dealing with an empty nest. in the bible.
I think you need to adjust to your new situation. That's all. Spend some time thinking about how to do that instead of hanging on to the old sitaution and drifting all through your house trying to pick back up the past. It can be just as good now as before once the adjustment is made. So take the time to think about what you believe you need to do and then take more time to do it and you will a...

Bluepatch responded to a discussion called sleeping in the car while commuting to school in life.
Its not being rude to fall asleep when you're really tired. Tiredness is a natural thing. Besides, if you have to study that early you're going to fall asleep in the day anyway. Try to explain to the good lady that you need to study very early in the morning if you're going to get your degree and its almost impossible for you to stayt awake while being driven after that.

Bluepatch responded to a discussion called do you find it's hard to do grocery shopping? in questions & answers.
Tell her what you like and then discuss with her what she likes and then let her do the shopping accordingly. I don't think it should be a major problem to decide what groceries everyone wants. Let her walk with a list so she would not forget anything and try not to argue after that.

Bluepatch responded to a discussion called Have You Put Up You Christmas Tree Already? in philippines.
At home here in Trinidad we usually put up the Christmas tree at the begining of December. But right now in my office they have begun to put up the Christmas decorations. Some people put up their tree the week before Christmas Day. And, some people here in Trinidad hang lights up outside their house for the entire season all the way into January.

Bluepatch responded to a discussion called Have you ever been threatened with violent crime? in life.
I was assaulted in the streets of Port of Spain more than once. The first time it was hate, the second time it was robbery. I have also been threatened on the phone and in other places, like the office where I worked in 1972. Its hard to escape this because we live in a violent world. However, I am still living at 58 and still have no permanent damage. Thank God for that!

Bluepatch responded to a discussion called How to earn more from Neobux? in make extra money.

I encountered this very same thing and I don't understand it myself. You can make more with referrals and I might guess that if you keep at it everyday they might give you more and better paying ads. Check out MTURK. I understand that this site does well, although I haven't actually used it myself.

Bluepatch responded to a discussion called The Correctors in life.
I have somebody like that in my office. He thinks of nothing the whole day but how to put down the people he doesn't like and only chats amicably with the people he considers to be his friends. It works around the clock, though, he once admitted that his son would like nothing better than to be rid of him and he is known to be the one to upset a relationship. Sad people, I think, and they are n...

Bluepatch responded to a discussion called How old do you feel?? in life.
Wait till you get to 58 like me. People ignore you, you get left out of most things and the girls don't pay attention to you anymore. I always believed that there are joys to every age and there are joys attached to old age, believe it or not. Just let yourself enjoy your life as it is now and you'll have no regrets when it goes.

Bluepatch responded to a discussion called Is it right for a grandma to make fun of her grandchild? in have discussion on day to day issues.
Some grand parents are indeed cruel. My grandmother used to make my mother cry with what she used to tell her. I remember my grandmother being very contemptous of us children as a little boy. I guess it depends on the person.

Bluepatch responded to a discussion called Mass Producted Christmas (Holiday) Cards, Or Personalized Ones? in questions & answers.
Personalized cards are more the norm now than before. When I was young you just bought the prettiest cards you could find and here in the tropics you only got cards with snow and Santa Claus. Then some people started to produce Caribbean type Christmas cards but those never really got off the ground. I haven't sent out cards in years and for some reason I don't seem to get them either. But I wo...

Have you ever worked as a waiter?

A landlady I had once gave me a night's work in a hotel where she was helping out serving food to guests at a buffet dinner. After the dinner was over I got $ 100.00 and a large plate of the hotel's...

What's the best wedding speech you ever heard?

My youngest sister's husband made the best wedding speech I ever heard. He became a successful lawyer too so I guess he really knew how to talk. What's the best wedding speech you ever heard?
