I use Opera. I'm still shocked that people use Firefox... Opera is much faster than Firefox, especially if you have limited RAM on your computer. Unfortunately, there are still website applications that require Firefox/Netscape or Explorer to use, so I have them on my computers are options. It's become increasingly rare that I have to use them, though. Maybe once/year for Explorer, and Firefox ...

Well, I already pay to use the internet... For every attempt to charge fees for use, someone comes up with a free version of it (from open source computer programs to illegal key generators to find passwords and such). Any attempt to commercialize the internet on that wide a scale is bound to fail, because too many users are staunchly in favor of freedom of information.

I'm more likely to take my cat in for an annual check-up than go myself. He has an eye-disorder that requires constant care, and I've been lucky to have had a great vet to help care for him. He is happy and healthy aside from his eye, which doesn't seem to bother him in the least. Hope your kitty is OK, best of luck.

Sounds like not giving him the death sentence would be more hurtful. Then again, wording himself in that way is just a way to try to go out with his head high - who really cares what he thinks?

It's difficult to read about the ongoing controversies over head scarves, not only in Turkey. Whether they are banned or forced, religious freedom of expression is not something that should be controlled except by individual choice. A head scarf never hurt anyone, any more than wearing a cross around the neck.

Funny aspect of the gun debate in the US, seems to fall in line with the concept of people killing people, not the weapons used. It doesn't matter what the weapon is, it's still really sad that kids this young who live in relatively safe parts of the world have to create this kind of strife. What would spark a kid to attack another?
