| Every year I go to the Festival of Fantastic Films in Manchester. It's the only convention I never miss. If you're a fan of science fiction, fantasy and horror movies, you might want to visit the website: It's a fun weekend for film fans.

I'm not a big fan of rap music, but this YouTube video is so good I keep playing it. The spirits of the great F A Hayek and the idiot Keynes engage in a rap duel to prove their rival theories. It's actually quite a good potted economics lesson:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0nERTFo-Sk&feature=player_embedded |
 | Citizen_Stuart responded to a discussion called Are these PTC sites a waste of time? in make extra money. 5 days ago
I was doing a lot of PTCs a while ago, and I never got paid by any of them. Most of them went out of business within a few days or weeks of setting up. At the moment, my online money making efforts centre around doing online surveys (I've been paid several times by both Lightspeed and Pinecone) and Linkbucks (which has also paid me several times). I've also recently started on Swagbucks, but I ... |
 | Citizen_Stuart responded to a discussion called Computer--------. 3 days ago I disagree. We have a saying in my country: "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." There's no harm in having a bit of fun, as long as you don't let it interfere with the actual necesseties of running your life. I don't personally do much gaming on my computer at the moment, but that's only because my spare time is limited, and will be for the next few months. When I have a bit more spare... |

I would never, ever, ever join up with a scheme that expects an upfront payment from me - it's got "scam" written all over it. There are plenty of ways to make money on the interweb that don't involve paying anything, so why get involved in anything so dodgy? |
 | Citizen_Stuart responded to a discussion called Have you ever wondered why people think mylot is a scam? in mylot.com. 3 days ago
I reckon a lot of people get into online earning thinking that it's easy to make big money fast, whereas the reality is that the honest methods tend to be slow and steady. So these kinds of people join MyLot, type a few posts and then give up when they find that they're only earning pennies, if that. You have to approach it with the right mindset. What I like about MyLot is that it encourages p... |
 | Citizen_Stuart responded to a discussion called Constitutional Add Ons And Exception in politics. 3 days ago
Very true. At the end of the day, a constitution, like any other law, is just a piece of paper. You need more than that to keep freedom alive, what keeps a country civilised is if the majority of the general population have the spirit of freedom, individuality and respect for each others' rights as part of their culture. |
 | Citizen_Stuart responded to a discussion called From when cats are surffing on Internet? in cats. 3 days ago
I never knew a cat that was into computers, but the cat that I had when I was a kid used to like watching TV. When she was very young, she'd watch football on TV and she'd go up to the screen and try to catch the players or the ball! Eventually, she realised that she couldn't get at the pictures on the screen, although I remember one time later on in her life when there was a documentary about ... |
 | Citizen_Stuart responded to a discussion called Money found on road in make extra money. 3 days ago
Just a coincidence, honestly. Even if there was a God (which I don't personally believe) he'd be far to busy running the universe to be bothered about something as comparatively trivial as this. Having said that, it could be a fortunate coincidence - you've learned how it feels to lose money, and hopefully if you ever find money in the street again, you'll do the right thing and try to restore ... |

It depends on the situation and the amount of money. If it's small change, don't bother, it's very unlikely that the owner will come looking for it. If it's a big wad of banknotes, they will miss it, so it's probably best to turn it over to the police, or whatever you do with lost property in your country.
Actually, this reminds me of an incident at work last week. I work in a call centre, a... |
