when is the right time to draw?

Julianne Lalonde Try to find out the periods of the day during which you are more creative. For me (as for many artists) it's from 10-11 am and 11:30pm-1:30am

I know this is a silly question, but do any of you have a favorite type of pen you like to use? I love the Pentel RSVP pens, mostly because the inks are in fun colors, but they write really nicely too...do you guys have favorites,...

Julianne Lalonde So far, I liked the roller ball pens with black gel ink (the ones that are very fluid). It tends to smear a lot, but I like it. I love to use my art pens like the faber castel pitt artist ones as well - all of them and calligraphy pens (not markers)

Julianne Lalonde You can use them dry, as normal pencils. Good watercolor pencils like the prismas will have a good pigmentation even dry. You can use them wet by using them on wet areas of paper -that will intensify the colors and cause some color bleeding that you can...

Does anyone still use reagular old you-have-to-sharpen-them-yourself pencils? I ran a race recently and there was a real pencil in the goodie bag they gave us for participating. I realized I don't even own a pencil sharpener...

Julianne Lalonde I'm an artist, so yes I do still have them around. I need more sharpeners! the ones I have do not cover all my needs hehe. As for graphite, I thing I would prefer 2mm Leads and holder + the lead sharpener, but I'm gonna stick to my lower end-stuff for some...
