His stance on prohibition isn't clear, I don't like that he supports the idea of a "right to life" act. While he's not for nation building, he doesn't seem to have a problem with using our troops as "peace police" in other parts of the world. I'm not sure I care for that.

If not, I just plain won't vote. I don't think Johnson will make many write-in ballots, either. | | Latrivia responded to a discussion called Handing out written prayers on an airplane? in religion. 4 weeks ago I'd probably ask if the pilot was actually so bad that I needed prayers to get me through the flight.[em]lol[/em]
I don't see the offense in it. It's probably more intellectually stimulating than any of the on-flight movies they might play - and certainly more interesting than the 'In Case of Emergency" manual.
Though in all honesty I'd use it as a bookmark for whatever book I brought ... | | Latrivia responded to a discussion called Demonic Possession and Exorcism in religion. 4 weeks ago There's a reason exorcisms don't often take place in the modern world. There's no need for it. What was formerly thought of as demonic possession we know now to be mental illnesses - or attention seeking. | | Latrivia responded to a discussion called Another worthless "judge" who can't think.. period in politics. 2 weeks ago You mentioned "PETA", so I knew right off that the situation would be ridiculous. PETA recognizes a distinction between people and other animals. Even their name implies so. The constitution states that the laws should apply equally to people born within the U.S. in the 14th amendment.
Animals besides humans are not people.
Thus the point is moot, and this entire thing is a waste of t... | | Latrivia responded to a discussion called Religion and Politics in politics. 2 weeks ago The actual religion of a person means nothing to me. It's how they implement their religious beliefs in their reactions that I'm vigilant of.
My own candidate is a Christian. I disagree with him on several things - mostly his faith based view of the world. However, I feel this person can rationally make a distinction between personal religious beliefs and political beliefs, so they have e... | | Latrivia responded to a discussion called OMG, Im not sure I could be this mean. in facebook.com. 1 week ago That's not mean, that's just punishment. If you want mean look up stories of parents stuffing their kids in closets for accidentally dropping a dish. That's mean. My father did way worse to me and my brothers and I wouldn't even call what we went through 'mean'. Most of the time we had it coming. [em]lol[/em] | | Latrivia responded to a discussion called We hold these truths to be self-evident... in politics. 10 hours ago It has never been a cornerstone of America. At the time that was written, human beings were still considered property. It would be almost a hundred years before the ownership of humans in America was made illegal.
We have racism and bigotry because that's the human condition. Humans are judgemental, cliquey, and discriminatory by nature. Much like...well, any other animal in the animal ki... | | Latrivia commented in a discussion called I'm Officially Scare to Death... in politics. 1 month ago Actually that just leaves Paul, now that Johnson left. I forgot about Santorum.
What I mean about prohibition is that his history on the drug war is hazy and undefined, and I haven't heard him talk about prostitution (not that prostitution is high on my list). | | Latrivia commented in a discussion called Demonic Possession and Exorcism in religion. 3 weeks ago They do, but mostly in less scientifically advanced societies. I'm sure tons of tribal communities still do it. The Catholic church is on the books for still doing it, but these days they go through a rigorous review period in order to rule out mental problems and attention seeking. Failed exorcisms give them horrible press. | | | | | | | | What's on my Mind: An insatiable hunger for chinese food, and the desire to curl up with a good book...preferably authored by Dan Brown or Edith Hamilton.
