I was in an accident in which my friend was killed (by a drunk, speeding, driver). The young woman appeared to show no remorse whatsoever. I don't know if these people just pretend not to feel bad or what...
They don't plan to kill someone when they drive drunk, but the fact is when someone gets in a car drunk they're deciding to risk someone else's life.
People who kill someone have to b... |
 | LisaHW responded to a discussion called paypal is evil!!! in make extra money. 5 days ago
There's a scam e.mail that goes around, and it says the same thing. It's not from PayPal, and I either delete or report them when I get them. I wonder if, by any chance, there's some other kind of scam that has meant someone else "did something funny" with your account.
Is there any chance that you opened the account that long time ago, that they need to "re-verify" bank accounts each year (... |
 | LisaHW responded to a discussion called Are you a forgetful person? in people. 5 days ago
I'm not usually forgetful, but I don't give my chance the opportunity to be. I keep everything I'll be needing in my handbag; and if there are things around like my glasses, phone, or things to mail, I have a certain place on my dining room table where I put everything when I know I'm going out. I may be going out at noon, but I'll start leaving the things I'll need a few hours before, take the... |
 | LisaHW responded to a discussion called Do you own or rent in life. 5 days ago
I think it depends on where you live. Extremely wealthy people rent property all the time, and people who live in cities are known to rent all the time. I think if you rent in a suburban neighborhood, where everyone else owns their home there can be that thinking you mentioned. My husband and I rented a nice home because we weren't sure where he'd be working. People with jobs that weren't as "p... |
 | LisaHW responded to a discussion called How do you keep your children from using all the tissue paper in the bathroom? in parenting. 5 days ago
She isn't likely to go back to doing that, particularly if you explain to her that it will "break the toilet and cost a lot of money to have it fixed".
Liquid soap, on the other hand, is always at risk - no matter how old the children are. There's something about pumping a bunch of colorful, liquid, soap out that kids like. I think a lot of people buy kids' soap that doesn't cost much and ju... |

I don't know if this will be of any use, but the other day I did an assignment about two year olds and temper tantrums, so since it's fresh on my mind:http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/875875/the_terrible_twos_and_tantrums.html?cat=7
If my piece is of no use, that page has a whole stack of other people's articles on two year olds and temper tantrums.
One thing that strikes me a... |
 | LisaHW responded to a discussion called Can you last a day without talking ..... in people. 4 days ago
I can enjoy a day of being alone, but then again I talk to myself (which means I get to hear my own voice all through the day).:)
I like talking to myself because I don't argue with myself (usually), and when it comes to having one's thoughts reinforced, two heads are better than one - even if those two heads are actually one.:) |

A lot of people think that a "House and Garden" kind of home can't be comfortable, but it can really can be.
It was by no means, "House and Garden", but when my kids were little we had a nice home (that some may have thought wasn't as "lived in" looking as theirs). The only rules I had for the kids were no eating in the living room and no shoes on the chairs. Oh - and we did have "paint and... |

Thank you for YOUR very nice comment.
People live differently, in terms of things like whether they clean as they cook or would rather cook, eat, and clean later. More people in a house and/or less space can make a difference. So can the age of kids. I found that I was a whole lot more free to bag up my kids' toys when they were preschoolers than I did when they were teens, who let things ac... |
 | LisaHW received a best response in the discussion ? About Paid To Write Sites by katsmeow1213. 4 days ago Some sites (I think Triond is one) require something like they get to use the stuff for a year, knowing it isn't published anywhere else.
Helium lets you keep your rights to the thing, so they don't care if you put it somewhere else. What can happen, though, is if you put the same article on five different sites, and it gets a high page ranking it can compete with itself.
