I have a friend that is "fat", I feel it is a terrible word to describe someone who isn't thin. It is a label and I am very anti-label.
I am so close with this woman that we consider ourselves sisters! The lady would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. I came home Tuesday with a bag full of food because she knew that my money was tight this month! I have stayed with her numerou... |

I have to add one more,"Trying to maneuver through a crowd of people is like herding cats." Loverbear
I have four cats; and it never fails, if I need to get someplace in a hurry all four saunter in front of me like I am on horseback herding them. The senior cat member (my little girl who is 14 years old this year and is very spoiled! LOL) is on my desk right now trying to eat my beef rib. |
 | Loverbear responded to a discussion called Searching for a candy in candy. 1 week ago
What I would do to find out the name is to google Hawaiian Candy recipes. Then when you get to a site with the recipes in the search box type plum pits. It might bring up the recipe. I have an antique Hawaiian cook book that I will check in and see if there might be a recipe for the candy you're looking for. Once you find out the name then you can do a search for someone who sells it. |
 | Loverbear responded to a discussion called help please,my cat has fleas! in cats. 5 days ago
You need to bomb the house, at least every two weeks per directions on the bombs. There are also ultra sonic pest repellers that work wonderfully at getting rid of not only fleas but also ants, spiders, flies, mosquitoes and mice. I prefer the ultra sonic repellers over using poisons by a long shot. I used a flea spray on one of my cats and it darn near killed her.
Also, remember to use some... |

While it would be so easy to assign blame, and wonder why the Nanny didn't have the good sense to lock the dog away from both her and the baby, it boils down to one thing. The dog could no longer be trusted around the baby, family, friends and strangers. It could be that the dog had a brain tumor or was simply jealous. It was the most humane and responsible thing that your friend could do. If s... |
 | Loverbear responded to a discussion called back pain remedy in back pain. 18 hours ago
Two more things, one is to do a non impact exercise like swimming. It will help strengthen the back muscles. Also, a small foot stool under your desk so that you can shift the position of your legs will also help. I work a lot at my computer and have found along with standing every 45 minutes or so that having a small stool for my feet helps bunches.
Make sure that when you finish at work, ... |

Yes, in some states it is illegal, but fortunately in CA it isn't. I would think that having your toes available to use instead of fingers if your foot pedal gets stuck would be a plus.
I used to win quite a few cokes when I was younger. I would go into a bar with a friend and of course someone would drop a dime and I would bet them a coke (with a cherry) that I could pick up the dime with ... |

I forgot to add, that it appeared in either Dear Abby or Dear Ann Landers that people that abuse or neglect animals will abuse and neglect humans. I have found it to be very true! My brother abused animals, and he was a definite human abuser too. I don't know where he is or how he's doing, as he wasn't much interested in being a member of the family and ran away at 19 and we only heard from him... |

Thank you so very much for your posting!!! It has put my mind at ease about having to have my dog put down. He was a Rottie/Shepard/Doberman mix. I couldn't understand why he would bite, but now it makes it so much less painful that I had to put him down, understanding now that he was possibly in horrible pain!!! Thank you for easing the conscious of an animal lover. |
