If they will not tell you explain that they hurt your feelings and that when they are ready to fix this issue you will be ready and waiting. Then leave it and them alone until they come to you.

First it is not the worst pain you will ever have there are many things that hurt much more and for a lot longer. I too shop all year long but I have a closet with items I see on sale through out the year. I buy only what I know will work for several people and can work at any time of year this way I always have that Birthday, or Christmas present ready when needed.

By the time Christmas is actually here I am so sick of hearing even my most favorite Christmas songs, and I love Christmas carols.
