I saw lots of fights when I was at school. They were a pretty regular occurence in the school I attended which was a bit on the rough side! I was never a participant, I was small and knew I would never win a fight so I learned to talk my way out of trouble. I did used to stand and watch them though. I didn't choose a side or shout encouragement - I was far too cool for that lol! I don't know wh... |

The last time I stayed up for more than 24 hours straight was just over a month ago when I was moving house.
The last time I told someone goodbye and then never saw them again was almost six weeks ago and it was a friend who died the next day.
The last time I got caught in the rain was yesterday morning going to work. My hair looked crazy all day!!The last time I was told I promise an... |

I tend to avoid discussions like that. Occasionally I might respond but generally I'm not really interested. I don't particularly want to hear about other people's intimate goings-on and I'm certainly not going to talk about my own lol! But I guess it's an open forum and some people are fine with discussing that sort of thing. In fact some people don't seem to be able to talk about anything els... |
 | Stiletto responded to a discussion called Have you already found your Helen of Troy? in people. 1 day ago
I can't think of that many actresses that have played Helen of Troy. Apart from Rosanna Podesta there is that German actress - is it Diane Kruger maybe? Anyway both are very pretty but I just never think of Helen of Troy as being a blonde. I think a brunette would suit the role much better. So bearing that in mind I think Elizabeth Taylor circa 1960's would have been perfect for the part. As fo... |

Well I agree with everything you say although as I kept reading it I was thinking - ok, when is the sell coming? And just as I was about to scold myself for my cynicism there it is at the very end lol! But seriously ... I think people are far too quick to cry "scam". I've seen programs that I've made money from being dismissed as scams and it irritates me. Heck, I saw someone accusing SFI of be... |
 | Stiletto responded to a discussion called What would you all do in this situation? in life. 3 days ago
If I was in your situation I would tell her exactly how stupidly she was behaving and spell out the fact that if she doesn't get her act together she will end up like so many other addicts - dead! But I guess you've probably already done all that anyway. If losing her kids hasn't been a big enough incentive to pull herself together then it's unlikely that anything you say will make a difference... |

Hey I'm living in a caravan right now!! I've only been here just over a month and I've only rented it until the end of September, but I have to say I'm enjoying it. I didn't think I would like it much but it's not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I don't know if I could handle a tent though. But I've read some of your other discussions about your situation and I just think anything else ... |

Oh tell me about getting logged out!! I am so sick of having to log in again and AGAIN!!! Anyway, I've reached the stage now where I automatically copy what I've typed before I post it just in case I get that irritating log in screen after I submit the comment.
I've tried ticking the "remember me" box but it doesn't seem to make any difference. It must be so annoying for those with less tha... |

Great response tigertang. Being British (well, normally I call myself Scottish but for the purpose of this discussion I'll compromise!) of course I agree we're more refined and knowledgable, etc. All the good things lol! I would have a hard time agreeing that American foreign policy is motivated by altruism but you could be right - maybe I just can't see it.
Personally one of the most endea... |
