It's a shame to say but their escapade was doomed form the start. first of all it was night. 2nd, they were in the swift moving, frigid waters of the fox river. Third, they were in "Paddle boats" (the kind you peddle like a bicycle) with the plugs taken out. and not a lifejacket in the bunch. They just had too many things going against them, and just had no buisness doing what they were doing.
