whenever possible i try to eat fruits first then have my meals. but i guess it won't help much as i eat the meal right after i finish my fruit. hehe. i never actually understand the logic of it (except making you fuller and not overeat your meal) and how much time is needed between eating fruits and the meal as this is one of the eating habits recommended by my religion. glad to know why.

in malaysia it is eaten raw or dipped in flour batter and fried (this is usually the cempedak, not nangka) or young jackfruit cooked with coconut milk and chillies. the seeds are boiled and eaten (not everybody likes it). i have tasted the chips before but never tried the jam before. i also like jackfruit ice cream. yummy

here in malaysia the fruit is called "nangka". and another variant of it is called "cempedak". rub your hand with some oil before washing with soap. that usually helps getting rid of the glue (i also use drops of oil to get rid of sticky labels on stuff. the same concept)
