He can uninstall and turn his subscription off on the WoW mainpage. Then, when he is ready to play again, just reinstall and download all the patches to get him up-to-date...turn his subscription back on, and he'll be good to go. I've done this several times over the years to take a brief break from online gaming.

I think there is balance enough. But with that said, each class excels at different aspects of the game. In example, some classes (mostly cloth wearing casters) complain that Rogues are overpowered. And yet mages especially continue to deal out obnoxiously high amounts of damage to not just single targets, but multiple targets on the PvP battlefield and in instances...whereas rogues are confine...
